About a year ago there was that dog food scare that had everybody wondering if their dog food was part of the "bad batch". What brand, what batch code? I live in a rural area and our dogs are well behaved and like the majority of people who have dogs in rural areas, our dogs eat a variety of bagged dog food. Mostly because like us our dogs "Maxine and Cinnamon" they like variety. I like to get them Kibbles and Bits - tender and crunchy, seems to be their favorite.
Back to that scare, we researched and luckly that brand wasn't bad. Our dogs do eat table scraps, if I would eat it than they could certainly have small pieces of meat. Yes, no? Well I guess not. I did buy some handy information, and learned how to make my own, learned what was bad and good. Point being, I learned alot. I would have never forgived myself if my best friends where to been poisoned by the neglegence of the name branders.
I still feed my two K and B's once in awhile, you know "variety" but the info at this site is good informative reading, alot of free stuff that everyone needs.
Parvo runs at a high percentage as does heartworm. So everyones good about vaccines and updates. Vets are such a blessing in rural areas.
I'll try to download a pic of my dogs. Max is really ours and we ended up adopting Cinnabuns, Cinnamon use to always come over to our house since he was small 6 months(ish), they are both now almost three years, mixed. Cinammon is more Lab (red, hence the name) and Max is well, Max - very Max, just wanted to share this with all and pictures should be coming soon (slow connection).
